***MY HONEST REVIEW OF STREETS OF MAYHEM***
On the day that Booker is suspended from his job for
standing up and not going along with a lie, a school bus loaded with kids is
blown up. This is just the beginning of a rash of racially motivated bombings.
Knowing that his suspension will soon lead to termination, Booker takes a case
as a private investigator. Between working the case and racing to beat the next
explosion, Booker has more than enough to keep his mind off his suspension.
This was such a riveting read. I was drawn in from the
start. Booker is a likeable character with strong values. I think the humor
interspersed with the drama helped bring balance to all the horror that was
happening. The cat from hell was my favorite part. Mr. Mefford has a knack for
making you feel like you are there, in the middle of the action. This looks to
be another great series from this author.
