Gertrude and the Magical Fish Review

Gertrude and the Magical Fish

By Angela Emily Neveins

For many years, Gertrude has lived in the magical Avalon with her best friend and cat, Mr. Whiskers. It’s a wonderful place where she has everything she needs except one thing – a person to keep her company. With her family long gone, Gertrude must find someone to keep her company and she finds it in the most unlikely place imaginable – a talking fish! Together, she and Leeka, the fish, form a bond and become great friends but just as Gertrude became lonely, so does Leeka and they must decide to do what’s best for themselves and their friendship.

***MY HONEST REVIEW OF THE MAGICAL FISH***

Gertrude lived in Avalon, the most perfect place there ever was. She had everything she could ever want, except companionship. Her cat, Mr. Whiskers, keeps her company, but she would get lonely for someone to talk to. One day she sat beside a stream and cried. Her crying brings a friend from an unexpected place.

This was an enjoyable read. It would make a perfect bedtime story for any age child. While reading it, I could imagine how it looked just from the descriptions. It left me with a feel good attitude long after reading it.
